This National Handicrafts showroom constructed in 1985, is being maintained as a contemporary handicrafts showroom for collecting handicrafts items which have received awards from the national competitions and exhibitions up to this day.
Opportunities have been provided for conservation of indigenous handicrafts and for the local and foreign tourists, schoolchildren and any person interested in indigenous handicrafts to gain knowledge about it. Winning items of craftsmen at the National Handicrafts Exhibition in various fields annually are purchase whenever required for the showroom. It is proposed to renovate the Art Gallery to add several new features in future.
